Sultan Al Qamshouai (b. 1990) is an independent Omani writer and director. He studied screenwriting at NFTS. He has directed several short films, including Rooted (2026) and The Green Box (2023), the latter of which screened at six international festivals, including the Saudi Film Festival.
In addition to his narrative work, Sultan has produced a wide range of commercial, documentary, and digital content. He is currently developing his debut feature film, Zahra of the Mountain, at the Feature Film Program in collaboration with Film Independent and the Red Sea Labs. Through his work, Sultan continues to explore Omani culture and identity with a distinctive cinematic voice.
